Celebrate Your Life

Do not see only the beautiful ones..
Do see everyone and find what is beautiful in them..

Do not impress others, with the masks on your face..
Do impress them, with the tasks you face..

Do not ask, ‘What do others have for me?’
Do ask, ‘What do I have for others?’

Do not share others stories, to make enemies..
Do share your stories, to make friends..

Do not thank others, for what they have done to you..
Do thank them, for why they have done to you..

Do not advise others, it is good for you..
Do advise yourself, it is good for others..

Do not act differently, you may copy or imitate someone..
Do act as you are, you are already unique and different..

Do not love the one, who loves you..
Do love everyone, for we all are equal in front of the God..

Do not live, complaining all your life..
Do live, celebrating all your life..

Love and Hatred

I have been watching few movies for the past couple of months.  Out of those, few were of the stories which reveals the Jew’s life during Hitler’s period in Germany.  Would like to list few, ‘The rise of the evil’, ‘The boy in the striped pyjamas’, ‘Life is Beautiful’, ‘Schindler’s List’, etc..  All the above mentioned movies were not just simple stories.  Such a beautiful life’s they were.  I seriously couldn’t control my tears coming out of my eyes.

A man, with all his powers, crushed 6 million beautiful roses. He destroyed their generations. He demolished their dreams. What kind of a man he his? Where were the common sense, knowledge and wisdom, to all those who have followed him?  I wonder, how he could have done that? There are several reasons quoted, if you google it.  Though there are many reasons, it has mentioned that, his early experience in his life with jew’s were unpleasant. With all those grudges and with all other reasons the man was completely filled with hatred against jew’s.

I heard somewhere that ‘A war starts when a smile gets rejected’.  Rejection is a pain. Rejection brings hatred. Hatred empties love, it finds fault, it brings fear, it brings irritation, it kills them or the other. And the medicine is ‘Love’. Check out these beautiful words from the bible about ‘Love’ 1 Corinthians 13.

From the above mentioned movies I could see, In all the struggles and sufferings of their lives, they have shown us what love is, when hatred was ruling. I feel shame to compare my problems/sufferings now with the ones who suffered then. We should really thank god to have such a wonderful and beautiful life. Let us learn to love everyone without any differences.

Do you cook?

I was interacting with one of my friends.  As usual about general stuff(doing timepass :-P), in some context, she asked me, ‘Do you cook?’. I said ‘I wish to’ then I asked her the same. She replied ‘ Its just a waste of time, Instead I would take rest and be happy in that time’ .  Some how I was really disturbed with that answer(May be because I come from village :-P). I don’t know how many of them are with the same thought, but it kindled me to scribble something..
I was thinking that(because I was vella :-P), what makes them to think this way, Is that people are really tired about their work and they want to take rest? Or they don’t realize the joy of cooking food?
I think, when we talk about food it doesn’t mean its only about food.  Food speaks about people, region, language, religion, culture, tradition and character.  Aren’t we realize, nothing can compensate the food at home.  Its just because of the way it is cooked. (So what are you coming to say?  :O)
When a mom feeds her child, she doesn’t prepare just food, she prepares it with unconditional and incomparable love, a story, a song (lullabee) and she feeds all into us.  Food conveys love, builds relation, brings health and brings happiness.  And what we are all now are - cooked at home.

Oh there are lot of things flows on my mind.. Ok..  It looks like a big gyan.. Enough for now.. So do u cook?  ;-)

My 25th Scribbling..

There is something special about this post, Its my 25th post.  Though it took me long time to achieve this small height, I am happy for this. Long back Shomoita tagged my blog in hers and asked this question, ‘What made you to write/start the blog?’. I take this opportunity to just let you all know the reason of my scribbling.
During college days, I spent most of the time outside the classroom for different reasons. So when I was in classroom, I felt very difficult to concentrate the lectures.  I started scribbling in my notebook when lectures are on.  It may be a pencil drawing or a poem or something which strikes my mind or whatever. The same became my habit. (But one good thing is, I don’t scribble at desks or in others notebook :P)
Then the same continued in working place. Few of them noticed it and appreciated for the same. Few said, its rubbish.  But that doesn’t make any difference for me. One thing I thought was, there are people who like what I scribble. I really don’t know whether they all are of my sort.  I then decided to start the blog of mine. Atleast that will have all my posts I write, and I would enjoy reading in future to see myself and my past.
I chose ‘Scribblings’ as the name of my blog and there is a reason behind this.  We all see the kids scribble something at the walls, tables and papers at our home. We may know what they scribble or we may not know what it is, but for the kid, those are all its creations, thoughts, experiences, expressions and the feelings. The kid doesn’t worry about what others think about it, but it just scribbles what it likes.  I am a kid here and I scribble what I like.
The reason and the purpose may not be great to start this blog but the benefits are really great. Through this blog, I made lot of friends, I met people, I read them and I reflect few of them in me. On the whole I enjoy this experience and I will keep continuing it. I would like to thank Smriti Garg, who insisted me a lot to start this blog. I think I couldn’t have created this without her encouragement. I would also like to thank all of you for your support and appreciation.

Oh its a women's day today.. Happy Women's Day...

My Scribbling continues..

Pick up your word today..

‘The Power of Word’ (My last post) reminds me my elective classes in my college days. I feel happy and proud to say that I was a student of Prof. Alwin Roger (sorry, Prof. Success - that is how he likes to be called and that is how his nameplate in the staffroom is) who inspired me through his wonderful sessions.

Usually, the students feel easy to clear English courses provided by the English department, and all would prefer the same as elective. The English department allocates more students from history and economics department to the elective classes offered, since those students feel difficult to take other courses from other departments.  Very few from other departments are allocated to this English Course. I was from Mathematics department and got a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the English Course.  The course provided in English department was handled by Prof. Success.

The students generally don’t give much importance to the elective classes, so most of them used to bunk the classes. This happens with all the departments. Exceptionally only Prof. Success classes were always packed. That’s the kind of interest he brought in all the students to listen him. He influenced everyone with his inspirational talks. He is a psychologist too.

He tells us, ‘The words we use to communicate are very important’ and he never uses a negative word in any of his speech or conversations. That impressed me a lot. Generally while taking attendance in the class, other professors used to call the roll numbers of the student and we say ‘Yes sir/Present sir’. He is different from others, He used to call the students as ‘The winner of Rs.101(Roll number) Crores ’ and we reply him as ‘Success’. And if the student is absent then we should tell ‘Enjoy’, since he would be enjoying his leave somewhere.

He says, ‘The word has power, with the word we can do magic. Choose a positive word for you and keep telling it often. That gives you energy. That gives you hope. That gives you courage and confidence. That makes you feel happy. That brings you positive thoughts. That makes you achieve your goal. That makes you dream high. The energy it produced will reflect in you and you will reflect to others, such that you can impress and inspire others’. He proved himself by inspiring all our students and we are reflecting him today.

This is how he slowly taught us about positive thinking and the importance of the words. He brought changes in many life’s and continuing the same now. On behalf of all his students, I would like to thank and dedicate this post to him. I also wish him all success in all his journeys.

God is Success.

THE POWER OF ‘WORD’

What is the pampering word you often heard from your mom? What is the word which your dad used to strengthen you? What is the word your sisters/brothers used to tease you? What is the word your teacher used to remark you? What is the word, the grandpa next door used to scold you? What is the word you inspired from your friend? What is the word you heard first from your love?  What is the word your child first pronounced?

There are many such questions to ask. And we all have the answers too. Knowingly or unknowingly the word which we hear/use influences us. The word reminds us some people, some moments, some days, some period and vice verse. We all are emotionally attached with all the words which we use to communicate. Though a man and a woman understand their love for each other, it brings happiness to them only when it is proposed (said through some words). Though two men understand their disliking on each others, their relation gets broken only when the words spill out from their mouth. And those are the word’s which will carry their life ahead, generations after generations.

The word we use tells everyone, who we are. We are the product of the words we listen and speak. It is as important as the blood to our body. According to bible, God created everything with his words. Man didn’t create the word but with the ‘Word’ which became a man.  The first verse from John in the bible says ‘In the beginning, the Word existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God’.

A word can make anyone happy, angry, joy, worry, regret, tempt, motivate, discourage, irk, excite, weep, impress, inspire, dream and live. That is the magic of the word. Please remember that our words can do all these magic to us and to others.

Now let us ask a question ourselves, what are the words we use to tell others in the above mentioned questions? Let us be conscious about it, if it hurts others. We can create our own world with these magic words. What is your magic Word?

Long weekend with a book..

A long weekend and it was really boring after celebrating the victory of the great World Cup.  One good thing I felt I did was, I completed reading a book ‘Eleven Minutes’ by Paulo Coelho. The book is about a young girl called Maria who chases her dreams and ends up working as a prostitute.  Though the story is about a prostitute, it doesn’t highlight only about sex, there were also many other common things where any person would experience were written in the book. Here are some quotes I liked and picked up to share with you,

‘Anyone who has lost something they thought was theirs forever, finally comes to realize that nothing really belongs to them’

‘Dreaming is very pleasant as long as you are not forced to put your dreams into practice’

‘The opportunities are made to be seized’

‘One never knows what life may have in store for us, and it’s always good to know where the emergency exit is’

‘Human beings can withstand a week without water, two weeks without food, many years of homelessness, but not loneliness’

‘I see that those who touched my heart failed to arouse my body, and that those who aroused my body failed to touch my heart.’

‘The true experience of freedom: having the most important thing in the world without owning it’

‘After all, being young inevitably means making mistakes’

‘Love is not to be found in someone else, but in ourselves; we simply awaken it. But in order to do that, we need the other person. The universe only makes sense when we have someone to share our feelings with’

‘Desire was the source of everything’

‘Desire is an emotion chosen by my soul and it is so intense that it can infect everything and everyone around me’

‘If you want to achieve your goal/objectives, you have to be prepared for a daily dose of pain or discomfort’

‘Whenever a teacher helps someone to discover something, the teacher always learns something new too’

‘Pain and suffering are used to justify the one thing that should bring only joy, love.’

‘Love one another but let’s not try to possess one another’

‘It is odd how, when you live in a city, you always postpone getting to know it and usually end up never knowing it at all’

Hope u too like it, have a good time..

'Good or Bad, it starts from one mind'

‘Good or Bad, it starts from one mind’ - my teacher said this in our school function. It is true, any idea which ends good or bad, even if it is a team work, the idea is from one beautiful mind. I am experiencing such a beautiful thing now…

We had an intra-department football tournament in our organization.  That day was really awesome and memorable for those who had participated. Our department won the trophy and we had a blast that day.  After all our celebrations, my bro Nikhil said me, ‘Why can’t we form a team for our organization picking up all good players from different department and play tournaments outside?’. That was the beautiful idea from a beautiful mind.

We had a short meeting with all our guys to form a team for our organization.  Then we come to know that they had a team earlier and now they don’t.  They were practicing earlier and now they don’t.  So this idea will be a re-union for the team but with some new players. With the same team spirit, all our guys have accepted to form a team.  With the co-operation of all our guys we are practicing for the past two months.

Today we got a chance to play a tournament. We were all motivated and were confident of bringing back the trophy. So we started early in the morning and reached the spot at 9am. As per the match fixtures, our matches were in the afternoon. The organizers have organized some team building activities in the morning for those who don’t have matches in the morning, so we had a nice time over there.

Then our matches started post lunch. The weather was very hot. We all were warmed up and were ready to play.  Our first match was really good and we won that by 2-0. Very next match is again ours, and we lost that.  One thing is true, we were playing with those guys, who plays football daily but we were equally strong. Though we had lost the match, I somehow feel this is a good start for us.

Thanks to that beautiful mind (Nikhil) – I dedicate this post to Nikhi. But without the co-operation of the team it wouldn’t happen.  Arun, Ali, Sabya, Harshdeep, Rahul, Sanky and Pradeep are all in our team. They come to practice regularly and also they have interest in doing this.  Special thanks to Arun Nair, without whom we couldn’t go to the tournament.

We all would have felt good if we would have brought the trophy, but it’s ok. We hope that we had a good start.  I believe that we will surely go a long way. Here is our team,

I would appreciate if you answer this question?

Last week my friend called me to my mobile,
Friend: How r u?
I said, ‘I am fine, thanks. How r u?’.
Friend: I am doing great. How is life?
I said ‘That’s going fine and nothing much special’.
Friend: Ok, so how many people did u really appreciate today?
What? I didn’t get u? I said. (It sounded strange to me)
He repeated the question. How many people did u really appreciate today?

I didn’t expect this question from him and I don’t know why he asked it. I tried to answer the question, but my answer was none. I asked him why did you ask this?
My friend said, Just try doing it.
Then I started thinking about it and got some thing to share with you.

We all write blogs and everyone have our own reasons to do it. Some may say - that’s their hobby, some may say - that’s how they share ideas, some may say - that’s the place to scribble whatever they like, some may do it to be familiar, some may use this as a business medium. Whatever might be the reason, just think that if no one commented on our blog / if no one follows you / you come to know that no one reads it. Would you really feel happy?  Well, you may or may not. But think the other way, if people comment on your blog / follow your blog / you come to know that someone reads it regularly, then you will surely feel happy. I bet you.

So I thought that a small response to a person will surely motivates him, encourages him, makes him/her feel good, makes him feel someone is close to him, which is equivalent to appreciation. Now-a-days a person has more virtual friends than actual friends who he daily meets and talks to. But the same thing is to everyone whom we meet everyday in office, in family, with wife/husband and with friends. Listening and responding to them. That is how a person feels recognized and appreciated. So I am and hope so we are.

When I give more I get more, and I feel that there is always something to give. (U don't believe me, u need an example - 'Smile' )
Then these words struck to my mind,

There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world today than for bread.
-Mother Teresa.

So How many people did u really appreciate today?

Don't Prejudice

Yesterday, we went to play cricket match. That was the third match for us in that tournament (Didn’t matter we lose or win, because we had already lost the first two). Before the match had started, there was a photo session for both the teams, ours and opponents. I saw the playing eleven of their team and felt little happy, I said that we are going to win this match (At least that would have consoled our last two loss).

Until I saw their team, I didn’t have any idea about the match. The moment I saw them I thought we will win. The reason is, in the playing eleven of their team, 2 were above 50 yrs old, 3 were above 40, 3 were below 30 and others are above 30. In our team all were youngsters, and their age is below 30.

Since our captain won the toss, we opted to bat first. Before our batsman’s get inside the pitch, the fielding was set. There were 4 slips and others were inside the circle. Watching their field, settings people in our team started laughing at them. The match started and the bowlers were old people. They bowled brilliantly and fiercely, and took the wickets one by one. After seeing their bowling none of our batsman were willing to get down into the pitch voluntarily. They bowled excellently and they knocked out us in 62 runs in 15 overs.

We totally got disappointed and then we made our mind to play with hope. We started bowling, they slowly started sending the ball to the boundaries through the ground and later through air. The match ended up in 4.4 overs.

It was like a big slap to me. I asked myself that, ‘how dare you could judge people before they show who they are?’. It was a good lesson to me. Then I thought I won something today and left from the ground happily.

On the whole, we enjoyed the match with all these fun and had a nice dinner too (Chicken Biriyani).

By the River Piedra I sat down and Wept..

Paulo Coelho has always been my favorite author (because I didn’t read many books of others, but truly he deserves to be a favorite author of many). ‘The Alchemist’ was the first book I read and that gave me the interest of reading books. Then reading became my habit. I read most of the Paula Coelho’s books. Recently I read his book called ‘By the River Piedra I sat down and wept’. It’s a beautiful love story written amazingly as he always do.

We may not get some experiences and the morals in our life, but we get it through reading books. Here are some quotes from the book I recently read,

‘Roads are made to be travelled’.

‘Pitiful is the person who is afraid of taking risks’.

‘The wise are wise only because of they love. And the foolish are foolish only because that they think that they can understand love’.

‘If we cannot learn to look at life with the innocence and the enthusiasm of childhood, it makes no sense to go on living’.

‘It’s better to lose some of the battles in the struggle of your dreams than to be defeated without ever even knowing what you are fighting for’.

‘Love doesn’t need to be discussed, it has its own voice and speaks for itself’.

‘Love is always new. Regardless of whether we love once, twice, or a dozen times in our life, we always face a brand-new situation. Love can consign us to hell or to paradise, but it always takes us somewhere. We simply have to accept it, because it is what nourishes our existence. If we reject it, we die of hunger, because we lack the courage to stretch out a hand and pluck the fruit from the branches of the tree of life. We have to take love where we find it, even if that means hours, days, weeks of disappointment and sadness.’

‘The moment we begin to seek love, love begins to seek us’.

‘Only a man who is happy can create happiness in others’.

‘A divided person cannot face life in a dignified way’.

All the above are beautiful thoughts. Just felt like sharing with you guys, hope it’s a good learning to all of us. Wishing all of you to dream..

He is my Hero...

'Have proper food, On time'
'Don't worry, we'll do it'
'Things happens the way you think'
'Wish People you meet'
'Respect Others'
These were few words my dad used to tell me...
But I didn't bother much when he said these words...

But Later,
I paid a Doctor to hear - 'Have proper food, On time'.
I searched for a friend to hear - 'Don't worry, we'll do it'.
I shamelessly took notes in Personal Development Programs
which says 'Things happens the way you think'.
I got beatings from my Teacher to hear - 'Wish People you meet'.
I went to church to hear - 'Respect Others'.

Then I realized, My father is
A good Teacher,
A good Doctor,
A good Motivator,
A good Priest,
A good Friend,
And what else..
He means a lot to me
And now he is my Hero...

First Sight...

That was the first time
I met her..

Looking at her, my eyes asked..
Why can't I have this sight always..

Looking at her lips, I thought..
Why can't I have this smile always..

Looking at her hands, I felt..
Why can't these hands hug me always..

Looking at her legs, I dreamt..
Why can't she walk into my life forever..

At the first sight with all these in mind,
How can I stop proposing her???

I went close to her and said 'I Love u'..
As usual, A bigggggggg slap...
But with an unusual reply,
'Why were u so late idiot'...

It was in 1993, I was doing my third standard...

It was in 1993, I was doing my third standard then. In the beautiful valley of blue mountains (My native place), one of the schools there was used to screen a movie once in a year for their students. Others also can go to watch the movie with Rs.1 ticket. So my cousin and I were planning to the movie. Next thing is to get Rs.2 for us and another Rs.2 for sweets (Specially Chikki) which they sell in the stall.
I went to my dad and asked Rs.2 requesting that we want to go to movie. I could have asked another Rs.2 but I didn’t, because my dad was very strict (what I felt then). I was scared to ask it. So What’s Next? How to get the other Rs.2? We both planned and went to my grandmother.
Granny, we want to go to watch the movie, please give us Rs.2? we asked. 'Go and ask your father’ she replied. ‘We asked him but he didn’t give’ we said (Lied). She felt pity on us and gave us Rs.2. Wow!! Great Achievement, we thought (we were clever) and went to the movie.
My granny was angry (Because of her love on us) and she went to my dad. ‘Only once in a year they screen a movie, why can’t u give Rs.2 for them?’ she shouted at him (with rights because she is his mom). ‘I gave them’ replied my dad with confusion. ‘Then why did they come to me and ask Rs.2?’ she asked him (She did her best part). My Dad’s BP raised and was waiting for us?
We both enjoyed the movie, the sweets and we were coming back home (We didn’t know that big party was waiting for us). We entered the home, my dad asked us ‘How was the movie?’, ‘Its superb’ we said. ‘Why did you get Rs.2 from granny?’ he asked with his voice raised. ‘We didn’t’ we both replied him. That’s all, after two minutes, there were so many red coloured scribblings in our skins which we could understand very well then.

Moral of the story:
Please don’t ask anything from your granny, better ask your grandpa.

Then I realized that he didn’t hit me for Rs.2 but he did it because I lied. From that day I don't lie(U should believe this)..

Beautiful World.....

“What is blogging? Someone scribbles something, others read it, many like/unlike it, a few comment on it, a few follow them. What is this rubbish?” – I thought, before I started reading the blogs.
Once I started reading blogs, I found that almost all of those who are blogging, share many things from their own life, their experience, their learning, happenings around them, their happiness, their worries, their wishes, their dishes, their creative thoughts, their views, their works, their health, their talents and the list is big. I have read some blogs where they have even shared about insults faced by them, but the way that they have written it, shows their positive attitude on that.
Then I realized that, in this busy world (Where people don’t know where were they, where they are and where will they be) blogging is a beautiful medium to communicate, update and share ourselves with others and others with us. This is another way to know - What are our friends/family doing? Where are they? What do they like? What are their views? What are their talents? And many..
The comments from our friends/followers really make us feel good and it gives us the feel that they are in touch.
Priya’s - Bindaas Baatein, Amit’s - Randomly Arbit Thoughts, Smriti’s - Dreams Have Wings, Subramanian Iyer’s - Iyer-n-Higher, Kavi’s Musings, Kevin’s – Just a Thought.. are the first few blogs  I followed. All of them and their blogs brought inspirations to me and I started blogging..
Thanks to everyone and hope we all make new friends, keep in touch with them and extend this beautiful world in our busy world.

Without You, I am Lost...

The day I got you
in my life..
You gave me an identity
to this world...

With you,
I dont know what loneliness means..
With you,
Nothing is farther and everything is nearer...

You know what?
Though i am far
from my mom, she said me that
you made her feel close to me

Without you
I feel: I lost the world..
Without you
The world feels: I am lost..

Any Guesses about whom did i describe here? You may be right..
But i have an answer here for What did i describe here? and not Whom.

Its cellphone/Mobile phone. Hope you can relate it now. When I gave my mobile phone to repair for a week then I realized the importance of it. I remember i had studied about Fundamental needs of human beings in second standard, which says Food, Dress and Shelter. Now the list is big, it also includes Cellphone, Debit/Credit cards, ATM, TV and Internet. Hope we all have experienced a world without these things in our past but now can u imagine a week without these things? These are become fundamental things in our life.
With this thought, I have many questions....
1. A good country should facilitate all the fundamental needs for its citizens. Will our nation be able to facilitate, considering all these things as fundamental needs?
2. Now the new generation uses all the above mentioned things from their birth. How will they feel if these things are not there for a day?
3. How long can a man survive without depending on these above mentioned things?
And many such questions....
Hope you might have come across the same experience.. How did u feel?

The First Kiss...

Anything we do/get for the first time, will bring us excitement and fun into our life, sometimes to others too. First birthday, first day to school, first friend, first love, first girl friend, first date and many such things. Here i want to share such beautiful experience.

Its the first kiss. She was very cute and beautiful. Anyone who come across her could not stop admiring her.
She felt shy and her face turned red.
           Her smile was so welcoming.

Yes these were the first few kisses given by my camera to her.

I am interested in photography, so i bought a new camera two weeks back. Since it was the first time for me to hold my camera and to click these pics, i felt very happy and excited. It was a beautiful experience and just felt like sharing this...

Happy Women's Day...

It was a weekend, all our friends planned to go to Juhu beach in the evening. We were six (three boys and three girls) and we were ready to pick a rick. So i stopped a Rick and asked 'Baiya Juhu?', he said no. He crossed us and he went near the girls, they asked him 'Juhu?', he said OK and they went.

Another day in the canteen, I ordered a masala dosa and was waiting for that. Another colleague of mine came and she ordered the same. The dosa was ready and he called her saying 'Madam Dosa ready' and gave it to her. He saw me and said, 'sorry sir, just two minutes'.

There are many such examples... By this time, Many of you might have brought such similar experience to your mind which you had come across? Do you think it is fair?
Waiting for another two minutes doesn't bother me much..
And feeling angry on them also sounds silly..
But in all such situations, how do women feel?
Are they really feeling thankful to men?
Are they feeling that they are powerful than men?
Are they take this as an advantage?
Are they really feel pity on men? OR Are they really say 'Thanks' to them?
Who knows? It depends on people who are there.

But I just asked myself that 'Will that happen the other way, 'Saying no to a woman'?.
Is this happening because, we give priority to women? or we respect women? or its the feel to attract the opposite sex? or we really taking care of women?. Who knows? It again depends on people who are involved. Frankly speaking, I could have also done the same out of respect/care/to attract.

Whatever it is, I am not blaming against any gender. On 8th March we have celebrated Women's Day, Its good to hear and all were happy about it.
I wish, soon we all should celebrate these days in a positive way and promote gender equality but not discussing harassment's against genders.

Happy Women's day...(Too late to wish but felt like scribbling)
