By the River Piedra I sat down and Wept..

Paulo Coelho has always been my favorite author (because I didn’t read many books of others, but truly he deserves to be a favorite author of many). ‘The Alchemist’ was the first book I read and that gave me the interest of reading books. Then reading became my habit. I read most of the Paula Coelho’s books. Recently I read his book called ‘By the River Piedra I sat down and wept’. It’s a beautiful love story written amazingly as he always do.

We may not get some experiences and the morals in our life, but we get it through reading books. Here are some quotes from the book I recently read,

‘Roads are made to be travelled’.

‘Pitiful is the person who is afraid of taking risks’.

‘The wise are wise only because of they love. And the foolish are foolish only because that they think that they can understand love’.

‘If we cannot learn to look at life with the innocence and the enthusiasm of childhood, it makes no sense to go on living’.

‘It’s better to lose some of the battles in the struggle of your dreams than to be defeated without ever even knowing what you are fighting for’.

‘Love doesn’t need to be discussed, it has its own voice and speaks for itself’.

‘Love is always new. Regardless of whether we love once, twice, or a dozen times in our life, we always face a brand-new situation. Love can consign us to hell or to paradise, but it always takes us somewhere. We simply have to accept it, because it is what nourishes our existence. If we reject it, we die of hunger, because we lack the courage to stretch out a hand and pluck the fruit from the branches of the tree of life. We have to take love where we find it, even if that means hours, days, weeks of disappointment and sadness.’

‘The moment we begin to seek love, love begins to seek us’.

‘Only a man who is happy can create happiness in others’.

‘A divided person cannot face life in a dignified way’.

All the above are beautiful thoughts. Just felt like sharing with you guys, hope it’s a good learning to all of us. Wishing all of you to dream..
